Hurricane Harvey and LoneStar
On August 25, 2017 Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Texas. The effects of this storm were devastating to the city of Houston and surrounding areas. The AmeriBolt, LoneStar Fasteners and LoneStar Sealing Technologies facilities were unaffected by the storm. All Houston facilities re-opened for business on August 31, 2017.
While all 173 of our Houston-based employees from AmeriBolt, LoneStar Fasteners and LoneStar Sealing Technologies are safe and accounted for, many suffered extensive damage to their homes and vehicles. 9 employees had their homes flooded, 5 of those employees had to evacuate, 7 employees had their vehicles flooded and 2 suffered damage to their roofs which caused leaks in their homes.
LoneStar is committed to helping our people during this difficult time. We have started a YouCaring fundraising page to provide immediate relief as they begin to rebuild. These donations will go directly to our employees affected by the hurricane. To make a donation, please visit: LoneStar Group Employee Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund
